Abaji chief urges FCT mar­ket women leader on trans­parency

The Ona of Abaji and Chair­man of the Coun­cil of Tra­di­tional Rulers in the FCT, Al­haji Adamu Baba Yunusa, has charged the newly elected pres­i­dent of mar­ket women in FCT, Mrs. Adeleke Ola­soji, to be trans­par­ent in the course of dis­charg­ing her duty.

Speak­ing when he re­ceived the newly elected ex­ec­u­tives of the FCT Mar­ket Women As­so­ci­a­tion at his palace, Satur­day, he urged her to carry women traders, in­clud­ing a re­tired school prin­ci­pal that just joined the as­so­ci­a­tion, along.

“I was very elated that to­day we have a woman like you that will lead all the mar­ket women in the FCT, but the tasks ahead of you and your mem­bers is to al­ways en­sure jus­tice and trans­parency pre­vail in ev­ery­thing you do,” he said.

Ear­lier, the pres­i­dent of the mar­ket women said they came to thank the chief. She promised to be just and trans­par­ent in her duty.

She re­quested the chief to con­fer a tra­di­tional ti­tle on her as the pres­i­dent of the mar­ket women in the FCT.
