The senator representing Abia North Senatorial Zone, Chief Mao Ohuabunwa, has advised his major contender, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu to watch his public utterances.

Kalu, a former governor of Abia State, who was the senatorial candidate of the Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA) for Abia North senatorial rerun election, is still challenging Ohuabunwa at the courts.

Ohuabunwa, who called for caution while distributing relief materials at the Methodist Church of Nigeria Motherless Babies Home and Leprosy Center Uzuakoli, yesterday, said he will never compromise his mandate.

“As politicians, we’re capable of saying certain things anyhow. My mandate is divine, we went for the first election and I won it squarely. We had a rerun and I also defeated him (Kalu) there. People know my antecedent, the mandate is mine, God gave it to me at my own time, he had his own time as the governor of the state, he misused it and I want to assure you that God who gave me victory will re-affirm it again,” he said.
