The All Progressives Congress (APC) will take over Delta and Cross River states in 2019, the party’s chairman in Delta State, Prophet Jones Ode Erue, has said.

Prophet Ode Erue, who asked party stalwarts in the two states to embark on aggressive registration of new members, made the prediction shortly after presentation of foremost opposition leader in Delta State, Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru and former Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Victor Ochei among others to the APC national leadership in Abuja.

According to him, the national leader of the APC, Senator Ahmed Tinubu, and members of the National Working Committee (NWC) have declared that the Delta and Cross River were ripe for takeover in the South-South region come 2019.

“With the coming in of Chief Ogboru and Hon. Ochei, we should go back to the 270 wards and open our doors for registration of new members. We’re aware that the PDP is already jittery and they have started going round giving money to buy back some of their members, who are set to join our party. But we are ready for them,” he said.
