Lagos Po­lice re­cover ac­tor Fred Amata’s snatched car

De­tec­tives from the Lagos State Po­lice com­mand have re­cov­ered a Lexus jeep be­long­ing to pop­u­lar ac­tor, Fred Amata, snatched from him by gun­men at Fadeyi area two weeks ago.

The ve­hi­cle was stolen on Satur­day June 25, 2016, and was re­cov­ered yes­ter­day at Ejigbo area of Lagos.

The Lagos State Po­lice com­mand spokesper­son, Do­lapo Bad­mos, a Su­per­in­ten­dent of Po­lice (SP), said, “The ea­gle eyed po­lice­men who spot­ted the ve­hi­cle with some male oc­cu­pants gave it a hot chase. The men, real­iz­ing they were be­ing trailed by the po­lice, aban­doned the ve­hi­cle and fled.”

The ac­tor and Pres­i­dent of Di­rec­tors Guild of Nige­ria (DGN), Amata, was robbed of the car at gun­point, ac­cord­ing to his friend and col­league, Matthias Obahi­ag­bon.

Nar­rat­ing the in­ci­dent on Face­book, Obahi­ag­bon said, “He was on his way back from a busi­ness din­ner on be­half of his guild. As he waited al­most end­lessly for the street gate to be opened by the se­cu­rity guards, some four fierce look­ing gun-tot­ing men
