IGP as­sures of ad­e­quate se­cu­rity

The Act­ing In­spec­tor­Gen­eral of Po­lice (IGP) Ibrahim Idris has as­sured of ad­e­quate se­cu­rity dur­ing the Eid-el-fitr cel­e­bra­tion. A state­ment from

force spokesman, the DCP Don Awu­nah, said yes­ter­day that the IG as­sured the na­tion that the po­lice would pro­vide ad­e­quate se­cu­rity with ro­bust and proac­tive pa­trols dur­ing and af­ter the cel­e­bra­tion.

Awu­nah said also or­dered all Idris zonal head­quar­ters and Com­mis­sion­ers of Po­lice to en­sure ad­e­quate se­cu­rity in their ar­eas of re­spon­si­bil­ity dur­ing the cel­e­bra­tion, warn­ing that of­fi­cers should be de­ployed evenly to cover the high­ways, wor­ship and recre­ation cen­tres.
