Wike, Masari fe­lic­i­tate with Mus­lims

Rivers State Gov­er­nor Nye­som Wike has fe­lic­i­tated with Mus­lims on the suc­cess­ful com­ple­tion of the Ra­madan fast and the cel­e­bra­tion of Eid-el-Fitri.

Wike, in a Sallah good­will mes­sage signed by his Spe­cial As­sis­tant on Elec­tronic Me­dia, Simeon Nwakaudu, con­grat­u­lated the Mus­lim faith­ful for the fast­ing pe­riod and its at­ten­dant ben­e­fits of pu­rifi­ca­tion, and called on all Nige­ri­ans to draw from the lessons of piety, love, jus­tice, fair­ness, eq­uity, and peace­ful co-ex­is­tence with oth­ers.

En­joined Mus­lims to pray fer­vently for peace and unity dur­ing this fes­tive pe­riod.

In a state­ment signed by Se­nior Spe­cial As­sis­tant, Abdu Labaran, Masari said, “As we are all aware of our coun­try’s predica­ments of in­se­cu­rity, fallen econ­omy, there is no doubt that the lessons of Ra­madan are but the tonic the na­tion needs to get it out of its dire straits. We there­fore have a re­spon­si­bil­ity, re­gard­less of our re­li­gious be­liefs, to take these lessons to heart.”
