The Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) has called on the Federal Government of Nigeria to commit to a deliberate effort at drawing up a communication policy that will serve as a reference point as a structure and guide to national communication.

This was the Association’s position during its 43rd AGM that held in Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State, recently.

In keeping with the event’s theme, the Association presented common position in support of the need for Nigeria as a brand, to develop a communication structure that will guide every communication initiative for the country, for purpose of achieving measurable objectives.

Akwa-Ibom State Governor, Emmanuel Udom, who declared the conference opened, listed the various gains the State has made, as a result of deliberate and structured communication. He said the state was successfully repositioned for more appreciable perception, business engagements, revenue generation and better opportunities for the citizens, as a result of structured communication. He therefore added his voice to the call for Federal Government to do same for greater prosperity.
