Don’t appeal court verdict, Lagos PDP urges Sheriff

Daily Trust - - INSIDE POLITICS - From Abdullateef Aliyu, Lagos

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos has hailed the judgment of the Federal High Court in Port Harcourt, which recognises the Senator Ahmed Makarfi-led caretaker committee to steer the ship of the party.

In a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Taofiq Gani, the Lagos PDP described the judgment as “justice for the soul of the party at this time” while commending what it called the reconciliatory spirit of Senator Makarfi, who reportedly described the judgment as “no winner, no loser”.

The chapter also called on Sherriff not to appeal the judgment in the interest of the party’s future.
