Mal­tese club threaten to drag Wikki to FIFA

Mal­tese Pre­mier League team Mosta FC will drag Nige­rian club Wikki Tourists to FIFA over the non­pay­ment of agreed loan fees for Yau Has­san, Sa­muel Chuk­wudi and Ab­dul­Ma­lik Mo­hammed.

Mosta gen­eral man­ager Adrian Fur­ri­gia told AfricanFoot­ball.com that the play­ers are not el­i­gi­ble to play for Wikki as they are yet to pay the fees agreed to the Mal­tese team af­ter they left for Nige­ria.

He stated fur­ther that the Bauchi club promised to pay by June, but have not done that and since the NPFL team boss is not an­swer­ing his calls, Mosta are left with no op­tion than to take the case to FIFA.

“Mosta have three play­ers in Wikki, Yau Has­san, Sa­muel Chuk­wudi and Ab­dul­Ma­lik Mo­hammed, in Nige­ria league,” Fur­ri­gia.

“Wikki are ow­ing us (Mosta) 22,000 for these play­ers, we called their chair­man three months ago and he promised they will pay by the end of June, but they are yet to pay.

“I have tried to reach the chair­man but not pick­ing my calls. We did what we are to do when we signed the play­ers, we paid Wikki 6000 for Chuk­wudi.

“We are giving them till Fri­day and if they didn’t re­spond, we will write FIFA.

“Giwa FC paid us 2,000 on Bobby Abel from 6,000 agreed, what they are ow­ing is 4,000.”
