The Mountain of Fire and Miracles (MFM) FC coach Fidelis Ilechukwu has said that the Lagos-based Nigeria Professional Football League outfit could become the first to beat El-Kanemi Warriors in Maiduguri when the two teams clash in today’s week 26 tie.

Ilechukwu, who was speaking ahead of today’s match, however admitted that it would be tough running away with the three maximum points in Maiduguri, considering no visiting team has earned all three points from that stadium.

Fidelis, who heaved a sigh of relief on Sunday after his wards’ victory over Ikorodu United, said that there is nothing impossible when it comes to football.

“Have any team won against El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri in that place? May be MFM will be the first team, it is possible,” he said.

The tactician blamed the team’s poor run in the ongoing league season on inexperience, saying “the team is a cluster of grassroots players and few experienced ones.”

The first meeting between the two teams at Agege Stadium in the first stanza of the league ended 3-1 in favour of the Lagos side.
