Niger gov predicts quick economic recovery

Daily Trust - - NEWS - From Abubakar Haruna Minna

The Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello, has expressed optimism that the present economic hardship in the country would soon be a thing of the past.

The Governor expressed this optimism yesterday shortly after the two rakaat prayers marking the end of Ramadan and commemorating this year’s Eid el-Fitr at the Minna ground.

He said, “The present economic situation in the country is a phase that will soon be history. Our leaders at various levels are committed to finding lasting solution. For us in Niger State, we are meticulously fashioning programmes and policies that will bail us out of the woods, set the state on a threshold of economic buoyancy and put the state on sound economic pedestal.” Eid praying

In his goodwill message to mark the Eid-el-fitr, a former head of state, General Abdulsalam Abubakar prayed for continued peace in the country.

Governor Sani Bello who was accompanied by Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar, later led members of his administration to the Hill Top residence of former military president, General Ibrahim Babangida, to felicitate with him.
