Aji­mobi pleads with strik­ing work­ers to em­brace dia­logue

For the umpteenth time, Oyo State Gov­er­nor Isiaq Abi­ola Aji­mobi yes­ter­day used the op­por­tu­nity of the Eid-el-Fitri in mak­ing a pas­sion­ate ap­peal to the strik­ing work­ers in the state to im­bibe dia­logue in re­solv­ing the labour un­rest in the state.

Speak­ing with jour­nal­ists in his Oluy­ole pri­vate house shortly af­ter per­form­ing the Eid-el-Fitri at the Yidi Pray­ing Ground, Agodi, Ibadan, Aji­mobi said, “We don’t want any­thing else, we just want peace. I am us­ing the op­por­tu­nity to call on labour and all stake­hold­ers in the state to come to­gether to im­prove Oyo State.”

He said democ­racy is about dia­logue and en­joined the Labour force to come to the round ta­ble with the gov­ern­ment to re­solve, once and for all, the is­sues at stake with par­tic­u­lar em­pha­sis on the ar­rears of salaries.
