AU greets Muslims, urges support for war victims
The Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, has greeted Muslims in Africa and around the world as they celebrate Eid el-Fitr following the successful completion of Ramadan.
Dlamini Zuma, in a statement yesterday, reminded Muslims that the Ramadan provided an opportunity for them to continue in their efforts and commitment to help the less fortunate through charity, particularly those struggling as a result of war, famine and economic hardship.
She urged Muslims to continue with the shared responsibility of supporting one another in efforts to create a peaceful, prosperous and just Africa and world.
“I wish all Muslim brothers and sisters a blessed day filled with peace, love, happiness and prosperity,” she said.
