South-south, South-east JNI leader preaches peace

Daily Trust - - NEWS - From Victor Edozie, P/Harcourt

Vice President of Southsouth and South-east Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), Alhaji Abubarkar Orlu, has urged Muslims to embrace peace and love one another .

He also urged the present administration to restructure the country to give everybody a sense of belonging.

Alhaji Orlu spoke in an interview with Daily Trust in Port Harcourt yesterday.

He expressed displeasure over the way Nigerians are ‘polarised along religious and political divides.’

He said, “I want to use this period to advise Muslims to leave peacefully with their Christian brothers. I appeal to Muslim leaders to come together and find solution to Nigeria’s problem so that there will be peace among the people. Nigeria is not united. Nigeria as a country can be restructured. Without restructuring the country, we will find it difficult to live in peace. The present administration should try as much as possible to unite all Nigerians so that piece will reign.”
