Emir preaches peace for Nigeria’s development
The Emir of Gwandu and Chairman of Kebbi State Council of Chiefs, Rtd Major General Muhammadu Iliyasu Bashar, has urged Muslims and non-Muslims in the country to embrace peace for the sustainability of Nigeria’s development.
The emir, while delivering his Sallah message at the Birnin Kebbi Eid Mosque shortly after observing the two Rakaat prayers attended by Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, top government officials, politicians and other Muslims, called on Nigerians to shun all forms of vices.
He sympathised with those affected by the recent flood and farmers who lost their crops to it, and prayed Allah to give them back what they had lost.
Delivering his Sallah message, Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu urged Muslims to adhere to the teachings of the Holy Quran and be guided by the teachings of the Holy Prophet in all their dealings.
