Emir preaches peace for Nige­ria’s devel­op­ment

The Emir of Gwandu and Chair­man of Kebbi State Coun­cil of Chiefs, Rtd Ma­jor Gen­eral Muham­madu Iliyasu Bashar, has urged Mus­lims and non-Mus­lims in the coun­try to em­brace peace for the sus­tain­abil­ity of Nige­ria’s devel­op­ment.

The emir, while de­liv­er­ing his Sal­lah mes­sage at the Birnin Kebbi Eid Mosque shortly af­ter ob­serv­ing the two Rakaat prayers at­tended by Gov­er­nor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, top gov­ern­ment of­fi­cials, politi­cians and other Mus­lims, called on Nige­ri­ans to shun all forms of vices.

He sym­pa­thised with those af­fected by the re­cent flood and farm­ers who lost their crops to it, and prayed Al­lah to give them back what they had lost.

De­liv­er­ing his Sal­lah mes­sage, Gov­er­nor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu urged Mus­lims to ad­here to the teach­ings of the Holy Qu­ran and be guided by the teach­ings of the Holy Prophet in all their deal­ings.
