PDC, NNPP, PPA get gov’ship candidates in Edo
The People for Democratic Change (PDC), New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and the Progressive People Alliance (PPA) have picked their candidates for the September 10 governorship election in Edo State.
Bishop Akhalamhe, who emerged as the sole aspirant of the PDC was unanimously elected.
The acting state chairman of the party, Mr. Erhunmwunse Joseph, said the election of Akhalamhe through voice vote was in line with the directive of the national leadership of the party.
Also, Prince Frank Ukonga, who emerged as the candidate of the NNPP has promised to improve the relationship between the government and civil servants in the state if elected.
On his part, Thomas Sado, who emerged as the candidate of the PPA said his development plan for the state is predicated on a sevenpoint agenda.
