Ogun Speaker seeks support for FG
Mr Suraj Adekunbi, Speaker, Ogun House of Assembly, yesterday urged Nigerians to continue to support all the Federal Government’s programmes and policies.
Adekunbi made this call while speaking with newsmen after he had observed the Eid-el-Fitr prayer at Ayetoro area of the state.
The speaker said the citizens' understanding and participation in governance remained a credible force in the development of any nation.
He urged Muslims to reflect on the significance of Ramadan, by putting to use the spiritual lessons learnt during the fasting period.
Adekunbi also urged all Nigerians: Christians and Muslims alike to remain steadfast and prayerful in the face of daunting socioeconomic challenges.
"We should continue to pray for peace and development of our country," he said.
In his remarks, the Chief Imam of Ayetoro, Alhaji Ganiu Ajakore, enjoined Muslims to continue with the lessons learnt during Ramadan, saying they were for the benefit of mankind and the nation at large. (NAN)
