Air force strikes Boko Haram lo­ca­tions

The Nige­rian Air Force (NAF) yes­ter­day said its F-7NI fighter jets on Op­er­a­tion ‘Gama Aiki,’ con­ducted air strikes on Boko Haram lo­ca­tions in the north­ern part of Borno State.

A state­ment from Air Force spokesman, Group Cap­tain Ay­o­dele Fa­muyiwa, said two F-7NI fighter air­craft struck lo­ca­tions be­tween Tum­bum Rego and Malkonory, about 25km from Kan­garwa. He said the lat­est strike was part of the air oper­a­tions con­ducted by the Air Force in sup­port of the ef­forts by sur­face forces and the Multi Na­tional Joint Task Force to rid the area of the rem­nants Boko Haram mil­i­tants.
