Also, the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) has disclosed that only political parties recognized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) would be allowed to participate in the elections that would hold in 20 local government areas and 37 local council development areas in the state.

The governor, in an interview with newsmen in Abeokuta, said security agencies would resist violence and any act of intimidation that would affect the election processes.

“My message to our people is to all come out to vote the candidates of their choice. But, it should be peaceful as we are not going to tolerate any act of violence from any quarter,” he said.

The Commissioner III of OGSIEC, Barr. Mutiu Agboke, said only parties with authentic executives would be recognized by the commission.
