According to the statement, “player Chisom Chikatara remains a bonafide player of Abia Warriors FC, Umuahia.” Wydad had on Friday 1st of July 2016, announced the capture of the target man on their website, claiming that: “Wydad’s board of directors completed the entire procedure and the transaction of the transfer of the Nigerian Chisom Chikatara to Wydad AC.
“The money was successfully transferred after the club presented the certificate of transfer of the international player. The entire procedure was done according to the regulations and rules the club is accustomed to.”
However, Abia Warriors said they have not received the purported transfer fee and have therefore, presented no certificate of transfer to Wydad Athletic in respect of the player in question.
