Bauchi to get over N7 bil­lion FG projects

Bauchi State will have N7 bil­lion worth of spe­cial Fed­eral Gov­ern­ment projects in 2016.

The sen­a­tor rep­re­sent­ing Bauchi South, Ali Wak­ili, dis­closed this yes­ter­day while ad­dress­ing All Pro­gres­sives Congress (APC) stal­warts from Tafawa Balewa lo­cal gov­ern­ment of the state who paid him sal­lah homage at his res­i­dence in Bauchi, say­ing the Fed­eral Gov­ern­ment had ear­marked the sum in the 2016 bud­get for the ex­e­cu­tion of var­i­ous projects in the state.

He said the al­lo­ca­tion of the projects was fa­cil­i­tated by law­mak­ers from the state, es­pe­cially him­self and the speaker of the House of Rep­re­sen­ta­tives, Yakubu Dog­ara, and that the projects to be car­ried out in­clude the es­tab­lish­ment of the Po­lice Academy in Kafin Madaki town of Gan­juwa lo­cal gov­ern­ment at the cost of N2 bil­lion, pro­vi­sion of water bore­holes in parts of the state at N300 mil­lion, as well as the re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion of Burga, Boi and Lere town roads, among oth­ers.
