NSCDC pa­rades sus­pected ca­ble van­dals in Jos

The Plateau State com­mand of the Nige­rian Se­cu­rity and Civil De­fence Corps at the week­end ar­rested and pa­raded two sus­pected elec­tri­cal ca­ble van­dals around Bukuru me­trop­o­lis of Jos South lo­cal gov­ern­ment area of the state.

The Plateau State NSCDC com­man­dant, Ola­supo Ade­bayo Solomon, while parad­ing the sus­pects at the com­mand’s head­quar­ters in Jos, said they were ar­rested while in pos­ses­sion of ca­bles dur­ing a rou­tine pa­trol by men of the corps.

Solomon said the ca­bles were said to be the prop­erty of Jos Elec­tric­ity Dis­tri­bu­tion Com­pany cut off from a trans­former in the said area.

He gave the names of the sus­pects as Jonathan Joseph Okop and Sal­isu Us­man.
