The Acting Inspector General of Police, Alhaji Ibrahim Kpotu Idris has reiterated his commitment to the protection of lives and property of every Nigerian as well as running a compassionate, fair and just administration based on the rule of law in order to ensure there is no miscarriage of justice against anyone in the country.

The police chief gave the assurance when he paid a courtesy call on the governor of Niger state, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello, at his official residence in Minna at the weekend, saying he would work with the Nigerian public with the view to addressing the issues of criminal elements in their midst.

He maintained that he would give both the personnel of the force and the citizenry a sense of dignity.

He said, “Anything that violates the law and every irregularity that goes against the operations of the Nigeria Police Force will be addressed.”

The governor said all indigenes of the state were excited about the appointment of Ibrahim Kpotu Idris by President Muhammadu Buhari.
