Po­lice ar­rest 4 N/Delta mil­i­tant sus­pects in Ogun

The Ogun State Po­lice com­mand yes­ter­day dis­closed that four sus­pected mil­i­tants who al­legedly par­tic­i­pated in the mil­i­tancy at­tacks that sacked six com­mu­ni­ties in the Sagamu and Obafemi-Owode lo­cal gov­ern­ment ar­eas of the state have been ar­rested.

The state Com­mis­sioner of Po­lice, Ab­dul-Ma­jid Ali, who pa­raded the sus­pects along­side 44 oth­ers, also ar­rested for cultism among oth­ers, gave their names to in­clude a 24-year-old Ifeanyi Eze, Ai­joku Ezekiel (23), Sho­bijo Uriel (22) and one other sim­ply iden­ti­fied as Pere.

CP Ali ex­plained that the four ar­rested were mem­bers of the sus­pected Niger Delta mil­i­tants who at­tacked the com­bi­na­tion of the Po­lice Mobile Force and op­er­a­tives of the Spe­cial Anti-rob­bery Squad (SARS) in Iko­rodu and Ibafo from where a po­lice Cor­po­ral at­tached to Ibafo was ab­ducted with his AK 47 rif­fle and missing till date.

Ali, who re­called that Ogun com­mand wit­nessed mil­i­tancy at­tacks at Arepo, Warewa, Imushin, Igbo - Elepete as well as Aje­gunle in the Ogijo/ Sagamu and Ibafo axis, added that the sus­pects were al­ready mak­ing use­ful state­ments.
