Govt generates N4.32b in 6 months
Plateau State Government said it raised N4.32 billion as Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) from January to June, showing an increase of over N1billion compared to the revenue for 2014 and an increase of over N100 million when compared to revenue earned in 2015 within the same period.
The acting Chairman of the Plateau State Internally Generated Revenue Service, Dashe Arlat, who stated this during a press conference organised by the State Ministry of Finance on bailout distribution update, stated, “The state internally generated revenue took an increase from January to June 2016 when compared to past years of 2015 and 2014. From January to June in 2015, our total IGR was N3.129 billion and for this year, from January to June, it is N4.32 billion, which is an increase of over N1billion. In 2014 it was N4.2 billion, so when you compare the past two years, the 2016 is already ahead.”
