Max, Az­man to air­lift 2,369 in­tend­ing pil­grims

The Ex­ec­u­tive Sec­re­tary of Ji­gawa State Pil­grims Wel­fare Board (JSPWB), Sani Al­has­san yes­ter­day an­nounced Max Air and Az­man Air as the two car­ri­ers se­lected for the air­lift of the state in­tend­ing pil­grims for this year’s hajj oper­a­tion.

A to­tal of 2,369 in­tend­ing pil­grims from the state are ex­pected to take part in the ex­er­cise.

Al­has­san made the an­nounce­ment while speak­ing with news­men in Dutse, say­ing Max Air would air­lift about 2000 in­tend­ing pil­grims while Az­man would air­lift 400 from the state con­tin­gent.

He said his board had so far de­posited 50 per­cent of the to­tal cost of the hajj seats al­lo­cated to the state for this year’s ex­er­cise to the Na­tional Hajj Com­mis­sion (NAHCON)’
