Daily Trust - - INSIDE POLITICS - From John kennedy Uzoma, Owerri

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has said that come 2019, his successor will inherit a debt-free state.

Speaking at the NUJ Press Centre, Owerri, yesterday, Okorocha said that he has settled the loans borrowed by the state government.

He said the only loan that remained unsettled was the bailout fund given the state by the federal government and structured to be paid in 20 years.

Okorocha described the PDP-led administration as the worst thing that ever happened to Nigeria and appealed to the citizens to continue to support President Buhari’s courage to fight corruption.

“I am happy president Buhari has the courage to fight corruption,” he said, calling on the people of Imo State to buy into the vision of his administration aimed at bringing change.
