Lulu splashes N101.5m schol­ar­ship on 14 play­ers

@shagcy A for­mer Pres­i­dent of the Nige­ria Foot­ball Fed­er­a­tion (NFF), Al­haji Sani Lulu Ab­dul­lahi has awarded aca­demic schol­ar­ship to 14 stu­dent-play­ers to con­tinue their aca­demic pur­suit at FOSLA Academy Karshi Abuja next aca­demic ses­sion.

The schol­ar­ship award which is worth N101.5 mil­lion will see the play­ers con­tinue their education at the Academy while also play­ing foot­ball.

The re­cip­i­ents who were se­lected from FCT and Kogi State com­prised of 10 boys and 4 girls. They in­clude Mustapha Ab­dulkarim (Omala LGA, Kogi State), Ab­dul Sa­muel (Omala LGA, Kogi State), Ab­du­lazeez Yakubu (Olam­aboro LGA, Kogi State), Mustapha Idris (Dek­ina LGA, Kogi State), Felix Talle (Bassa LGA, Kogi State), Hamza Yakubu (AMAC, FCT), Em­manuel Ini-Obong (AMAC, FCT), Og­belu Oguche (AMAC, FCT), Muhammed Us­man (Karshi, FCT), Awolola Em­manuel (Kwali, FCT). The girls se­lected are Wosi­latu Al­has­san (Dek­ina LGA, Kogi State), Su­maya Us­man (Dek­ina LGA, Kogi State), Peace Peter (Gwag­wal­ada, FCT) and Janet Bawa (AMAC, FCT).Ad­dress­ing the suc­cess­ful play­ers and their par­ents, Lulu who was a Di­rec­tor of Sports in FCT said the schol­ar­ship award is worth N725,000.00 per stu­dent for a ses­sion, and that the Academy would cater for the stu­dents up to their ter­tiary level.
