You may be afraid you will never make profit but when your work is good; your products will get you customers.

The key to making profit in knitting is to concentrate on smaller knitted goods like making cups for children while building a name for yourself. When you get machines for knitting, then you can grow to making a set of cardigans, trousers, socks and caps for children. Package it well and drop at baby stores or tell would-be-mothers about what you do. Sell at a relatively lower price than it is sold in the stores and they will be willing to buy from you. Once you come up with a wonderful knitting pattern or design and knit it well, you can lease with either primary or secondary schools who can buy in bulk from you.

Soap making

There is a growing market in soap making. Making soap from scratch is easy and you can do it from the comfort of your home. All you need is to take few days training from people who have been in the business, get little capital and then you are good to go.

By adding special herbs, fragrances and colours, you can make yours unique and make special soaps right in your own kitchen.

However, packaging is key for you to be successful in this business.
