Po­lice ar­rest man for at­tempt to steal from church

The po­lice in Life Camp, Abuja, have ar­rested one Rabi’u Lawal of Fu­lani vil­lage in the area, for al­legedly break­ing into a store be­long­ing to the As­sem­blies of God Church at Kado, Life Camp.

A po­lice source who con­firmed the ar­rest to our re­porter in con­fi­dence, said that the sus­pect was ar­rested on Mon­day by the se­cu­rity guards at the church with the as­sis­tance of the Life Camp po­lice pa­trol team.

City News learnt that a se­cu­rity guard was on pa­trol of the church premises when he saw the sus­pect mov­ing around the church’s store and even­tu­ally took a big stone and broke the store be­fore the se­cu­rity man raised an alarm to in­vite the po­lice pa­trol team to the ar­rest of the sus­pect.

The po­lice source, how­ever, said that the mat­ter has been charged to court for pros­e­cu­tion.
