Idoko wins Parkland’s June Monthly Mug

The June edition of Parkland’s Monthly Mug Golf Competition was won by Simon Idoko, a recent member of the club, who returned a gross score of 4 to shield off opposition from other competitors to claim the best overall prize and trophy.

It was for the first time the Monthly Mug Golf Competition took place as an open event, a day after Eid-il-fitr.

The competition which was planned as a whole day event, saw over 40 players in the men’s and Ladies’ categories in attendance.

As customary of the monthly event, Idoko received the signature Monthly Mug hat, the grand trophy and a star prize to honor his achievement.

Other winners were E.G. Usibe claimed the prize in the Best net in men’s category with a total gross score of 58, handicap 16, resulting to a net score of 42.

Nancy Irole emerged as winner in the ladies category, with a total gross score of 73, handicap 15, resulting to a net score of 58 while Julius Jatto won the Nearestto-Pin Prize with a distance of 1.1 metre from the hole on hole number 4.

In the month long Kitties played in June, Ajia Mohammed with a total gross score of 53, emerged the TWT Kitty winner while M.B. Bello with a gross total of 51 won the All Club Kitty.
