We’ll re­cover stolen funds, Sani Bello vows

The Niger State Gov­er­nor, Al­haji Abubakar Sani Bello, has said that his ad­min­is­tra­tion is mak­ing ef­forts to re­trieve stolen funds from some for­mer po­lit­i­cal of­fice hold­ers.

The gov­er­nor who made the state­ment at an en­larged state ex­ec­u­tive coun­cil meet­ing in Minna, said in­ves­ti­ga­tions were on to re­cover the funds.

“Fran­tic ef­forts are on to re­trieve state stolen fund and I want to as­sure that no stone will be left un­turned to re­cover ev­ery dime of the state that was il­le­gally taken,” he said.

The gov­er­nor said he was open to dis­cus­sion on how to re­solve the cur­rent stale­mate be­tween labour and the state gov­ern­ment and called on Niger­lites to pre­vail on labour, stress­ing that gov­ern­ment ac­tion was in the in­ter­est of all.

He ac­knowl­edged the ef­forts of En­gi­neer Ab­dulka­dir Ab­dul­lahi Kure, a for­mer gov­er­nor of the state, Al­haji Abubakar Mo­gaji and other stake­hold­ers at en­sur­ing peace­ful res­o­lu­tion of the in­dus­trial ac­tion by labour.
