We’ve nothing against Buhari – Rep. Doguwa

Daily Trust - - INSIDE POLITICS - From Balarabe Alkassim, Bauchi

The Chief Whip of the House of Representatives, Representative Alhassan Ado Doguwa, has distanced the House from the rumoured move of some senators to impeach President Muhammadu Buhari.

Doguwa distanced the House in an interview weekend.

He described the issue as mere “street speculation,” saying that the House had nothing against president Buhari.

He said: “As a principal officer of the House of Representatives, we don’t have such considerations before us. This matter has never in Bauchi, been contemplated on the floor of the House. The House has never, at any point in time, thought of it or deliberated on it.”

Doguwa said that members of the House of Representatives would continue to Buhari’s policies, especially his fight against corruption, to move the country forward.
