Plateau to revive inter local govt football competition
The Plateau state government has concluded preparations to resuscitate long abandoned inter local government football competition in the state.
The state Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, Mr. Danladi Mann disclosed this in an interview with Daily Trust in Jos.
Mann explained that the state took the decision to revive the competition considering its significance to politics, economy and the state’s teaming youths that would want to take to football as their career.
He said his ministry is ready to ensure the promotion and development of sports, including football at the state and local government levels.
He therefore called on youths in the state to fully participate in the coming competition to launch their football career to greatness.
