Anti-graft war not one-sided – FG

Daily Trust - - NEWS - By Isiaka Wakili

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo says it is entirely absurd of anyone to insinuate that the ongoing anti-corruption war is one-sided.

The vice president said those alleging partisanship in the fight against corruption obviously wanted to trivialise a very important programme of the federal government.

He also said the insinuations were aimed at trivializing President Muhammadu Buhari’s “strong efforts” towards recovering huge stolen funds.

Osinbajo, according to a statement by his spokesman, Laolu Akande, yesterday said this in Kigali, Rwanda, on Monday while addressing journalists after the justconcluded summit of the African Union.

Describing the insinuations as unfounded and baseless, the vice president explained that the government looked at corruption from all possible facets.
