Po­lice de­clare 10 wanted over Jebba cri­sis

The Nige­ria Po­lice have de­clared 10 per­sons wanted in con­nec­tion with the killing of three per­sons in Jebba town in Moro lo­cal gov­ern­ment area of Kwara state last Eid-el-fitr cel­e­bra­tion.

A cri­sis broke out in Jebba af­ter Eid -el- Fitr prayer that led to the death of three per­sons while 12 oth­ers sus­tained in­juries.

A press state­ment by the PPRO of the state po­lice com­mand, Ajayi Okasanmi, said the dec­la­ra­tion of the 10 as wanted per­sons was se­quel to is­suance of war­rant of ar­rest by a court of com­pe­tent ju­ris­dic­tion.

The sus­pects, ac­cord­ing to the Po­lice, are Al­haji Kay­ode Okedare, Ya­haya Seriki, Olarongbe Ko­la­wole, Tunji Moses, Oluwase­gun Okedare, Maigari Marafa, Ibrahim Aremu Olopoodo, Al­haji Bo­laji Driver, Al­haji Tunde Osie, and Isi­aka Atanda Ma­sun,

The state­ment said the sus­pects dis­ap­peared into thin air af­ter be­ing in­volved in crim­i­nal con­spir­acy, il­le­gal pos­ses­sion of fire arms, cul­pa­ble homi­cide and ri­ot­ing with dan­ger­ous weapons which re­sulted in loss of lives and de­struc­tion of prop­erty in Jebba on July 6, 2016.
