Sen. Ningi worried over security breaches in Ningi

Daily Trust - - INSIDE POLITICS - By Muideen Olaniyi

A former deputy Senate leader, Senator Abdul Ahmed Ningi, has raised an alarm over security breaches in Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State, saying that criminals are terrorising and kidnapping inhabitants of the area.

Ningi, speaking in Abuja, yesterday, said that there was serious security challenge in Ningi and its environs.

“We have this persistent security breach,” he said.

“My people are kidnapped all over the place by criminals who are housed by the vast forest surrounding the town.”

He said that the criminals were either those running from YobeMaiduguri axis or Zamfara State because of the ongoing military operations there.

Senator Ningi said that he suspected connivance between these hoodlums and local criminals, calling on the federal government to nip the impending security challenges in the bud by drafting military personnel to the area to deal with the situation.
