The leader of Ebute Iga and Majidun community of Lagos, Chief Ahmed Ojebiyi, has felicitated with the Oba of Lagos,Akiolu Rilwanu, on the occasion of the celebration of creation of Lagos.

Speaking at a special prayer and thanksgiving event organized by the people of Ebute Iga and Majidun, Ojebiyi, who is also the Asapon of Lagos, thanked God for the life of the monarch.

“It is not an accident that Oba Akiolu is the reigning Oba of Lagos at the same time that Lagos State has clocked 50 years since creation in 1976. This is why we must thank God for giving us visionary and purposeful leaders like Oba Akiolu,” he said.

Chief Ojebiyi stated that since the installation and coronation of Oba Akiolu, Lagos has witnessed tremendous development and advancement.

According to him, the state has been blessed with visionary and progressive leaders like Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Mr.Babatunde Raji Fashola and the incumbent governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.

‘’The combination of three selfless visionary leaders has taken Lagos to where we are today. At 50, Lagos State is unarguably the best state in Nigeria. This is no boast. Imagine that more than 70 percent of the states we have in Nigeria cannot even pay their workers’ salaries. Many of them have virtually become failed states. But this is not the case with Lagos,’’ he said.
