The Benin Traditional Council has inaugurated three committees as part of preparation for the coronation of the Crown Prince, Eheneden Erediauwa, Edaiken N’Uselu, as the Oba of Benin.

This followed the successful performance of all the required traditional rites by the Crown Prince.

The Iyase of Benin, Chief Sam Igbe, who disclosed this at the Oba Palace in Benin yesterday, explained that the conclusion of the rites fulfilled requirements by the Crown Prince to ascend to the throne of the Oba of Benin.

“Consequently, the Benin Traditional Council further announced that as part of preparation for the coronation of His Highness,ý three committees have been inaugurated.”
