‘AMAC marshals have full legislative backing’

Daily Trust - - CITY NEWS -

The Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Abdullahi Adamu Candido, has said that he constituted the AMAC Marshals to improve the council’s revenue. He advised the public not read other meanings into it.

The chairman, in a statement signed by his chief press secretary, Chief Dayo Lawal, said that the outfit was one of the two companies floated to boost the council’s internally generated revenue.

While responding to a publication by some stakeholders that the council should make the functions of the marshals public, the statement said that the AMAC administration welcomed constructive criticism. It said that the chairman’s action was backed by the law.
