M-NET Chan­nels’Shows nom­i­nated at Emmy Awards

Some TV shows on M-Net Chan­nels have been nom­i­nated to com­pete in the 68th edi­tion of the Emmy Awards.

In a state­ment by the broad­cast­ing firm, the award cer­e­mony slated for Mon­day Septem­ber19, 2016 shall wit­ness live broad­cast on its chan­nel 101 at 1am, and dur­ing its prime time show that will be broad­cast at 19:30 CAT.

“The 68th Emmy Awards cer­e­mony will be tele­vised live… as ex­pected, most of the ac­claimed men­tions were shows straight off the M-Net Chan­nels’ cat­a­logue, mean­ing that th­ese shows are lead­ers of the pack yet again this year,” a part of the state­ment read.

Girls had hosted the nom­i­na­tion cer­e­mony ear­lier.

M-Net Chan­nels’ Shows shall be com­pet­ing in 16 out of the to­tal 19 cat­e­gories. The cat­e­gories M-Net nom­i­nees will not be com­pet­ing are: Tele­vi­sion Movie, Lead Ac­tor in a Limited Se­ries or A Movie and Va­ri­eties Se­ries.

“For the past 30 years (and count­ing) M-Net has been bring­ing only the best tele­vi­sion en­ter­tain­ment to view­ers in Africa and be­yond,” it said.
