2016 Miss Tourism Plateau winner to clinch Kia SUV
The expected winner of the 2016 Miss Tourism Plateau will get a Kia Sportage SUV by October 1, when the contest will hold in Jos, the Plateau state capital.
Unveiling the star prize this week, the handlers said the state government and Polo Sports modelling agency will host this year’s event.
The CEO of Polo Sports, Janet Ayiku who won the contest in 2007 said this is the first time the agency was organising such event in the state. It had hosted Miss Gbagyi and Miss Polo in Minna, Niger state and Zaria, Kaduna state earlier.
The acting General Manager of Plateau State Tourism Corporation, John Doy said young girls between the ages of 18 to 28 will showcase their talents adding that only a contestant with vast knowledge of the State’s vast tourism sites will clinch the star prize.
With the theme for the 2016 World Tourism Day; ‘Tourism for AllPromoting Universal Accessibility’, he urged participants to explore the various tourism destinations in the state to enable them acquire the relevant knowledge.
