No regrets for 2015 prophecy – Fr. Mbaka
Enugu Catholic Priest and Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, says he does not regret his 2015 ‘change prophesy’ regardless of the current hardship Nigerians are passing through.
The priest had predicted the defeat of former President Goodluck Jonathan in the presidential elections, and described as baseless claims by certain people that he fell out with Jonathan over the former president’s refusal of his said request for oil block.
Mbaka who spoke through his media aide, Barrister Maximus Ugwuoke, on activities to mark his 21 years of priestly ordination anniversary, said he had also on several occasions released prophecies on hard times.
He said, “Before Buhari took over, the dollar was rising, there was already problem with our economy.ý The previous government had oil boom but never saved; just wasted the opportunity. Even the suffering we are talking about was part of my prophesies. I recall that on 31st of January this year, I said that Nigerians should brace up for hard times. This suffering Nigerians are passing through is a process of change. I’m seeing a great future for Nigerians.”
On his prophesy that former Enugu Governor, Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani would not win second term as governor, Ugwuoke gave reasons for the failure ýof the prophesy, emphasising that people who said that the the current prediction was a failure didn’t know what happened.
He said, “It is true that Mbaka said Chimaroke will not come back; but after that prophesy, the Church authority mandated him to celebrate a mass of forgiveness for Chimaroke. He celebrated that mass; remember it is God that answers prayers. So, the mass of forgiveness, which he celebrated under the mandate of the diocese is the main reason why the prophesy did not come to pass.”
Ugwuoke said Mbaka would be celebrated as he marked his 21 years in ministry, explaining, “We shall be celebrating him this week. He is marking 21 years of a miraculous life; 21 years of prophesies that have manifested - the change prophesy, the oil doom and all that. He is also celebrating 21 years of charity.”
