The Federal University Birnin Kebbi (FUBK) has screened 4,000 candidates who applied for admission into the university through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for the 2016/2017 academic session.

The screening exercise which took place at the permanent site of the University, Kalgo, was technically hitch-free and involved applicants from every nook and cranny of the country, according to the Information and Public Relations Officer of the institution, Jamilu Mohammed Magaji.

Two of the candidates, Muhammad Liman Alkali and Tosin Sodik who spoke to our correspondent, expressed their happiness over the exercise. “From the way it went I think the University is fast developing as some of us are contented with its massive transformation,” Sodik said.
