Oyo-Ita as­sures work­ers on wel­fare

The Head of the Civil Ser­vice of the Federation (HoCSF) Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita yes­ter­day said the wel­fare of civil ser­vants would be given ut­most pri­or­ity in line with the change agenda of the present ad­min­is­tra­tion to en­hance their pro­duc­tiv­ity.

She spoke when she led of­fi­cials of the 39th meet­ing of the National Coun­cil on Es­tab­lish­ment (NCE) on a visit to Niger State Gover­nor Abubakar Sani Bello.

Mrs. Oyo-Ita said the Fed­eral In­te­grated Staff Hous­ing Pro­gramme was in­tro­duced to cush­ion the ac­com­mo­da­tion prob­lems among civil ser­vants.

She said the coun­cil was in Minna to dis­cuss es­tab­lish­ment is­sues in the civil ser­vice na­tion­wide in or­der to meet up with the chal­lenges of change.

Re­spond­ing, Gover­nor Bello’s rep­re­sen­ta­tive, the Deputy Gover­nor, Al­haji Ahmed Mo­hammed Ketso, said lack of proper ori­en­ta­tion and low pro­fes­sion­al­ism had af­fected the civil ser­vice.
