Oshiomhole tackles ex-commissioner over alleged N14b fraud

Daily Trust - - INSIDE POLITICS - From Usman A. Bello, Benin

The Edo State governor, Adams Oshiomhole, has described the allegation by a former commissioner of transport in his administration, Orobosa Omo-Ojo, accusing him of N14 billion ICT fraud, as untrue.

The ex-commissioner had alleged in his book that Oshiomhole expended N14 billion on the Edo State website.

A statement signed by the state commissioner of Information, Kassim Afegbua, said Orobosa assembled tissues of lies in his book to feed members of the unsuspecting public.

“The book is not only a product of poor scholarship with bad syntax, it is dominated with tautology, half-truths, outright lies and fictions, aimed at fulfilling the agenda of his paymasters.

“That it took the excommissioner time to be dismissed from office before writing this book tells so much about his double standard,” he said.
