The Northern Traditional Rulers Council (NTRC) yesterday described the late traditional ruler of Bokkos, the Saf Ran Kulere, Lazarus Agai, who was killed by unknown gunmen last week, as a man who dedicated his entire life to the peace, unity and progress of his people and Plateau State.

A statement signed by the Coordinator of North Central NTRC, the Emir of Wase, Dr. Muhammad Sambo Haruna yesterday, urged Plateau citizens not to allow the tragedy of Agai’s death to bring more calamity to his people.

The statement said NTRC under the leadership of the Sultan of Sokoto, Dr. Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, received the ‘gruesome murder’ of one of its members with shock, and urged security agents to ensure the culprits were arrested and prosecuted.
