NUT supports removal of NLC chairman

The National Union of Teachers (NUT) in Kebbi State has said it is in support of the removal of Muhammed Sanusi Umar as chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in the state.

The NUT acting chairman, Comrade Kakale Dan-Ashibi, during a meeting by the leadership of the NUT at its state secretariat in Birnin Kebbi, said the union joined other unions in Kebbi State to recognize the new leadership of the state NLC under Comrade Umar Halidu Alhassan.

He said, “The purported statement made by our acting chairman, Muhammad Sanusi Umar, about the union on the removal of the NLC chairman in Kebbi is not our true position. NUT is strongly in support of the removal of Muritala Usman as NLC state chairman.”
