‘Libraries build good societies’

The Minister of Education Malam Adamu Adamu yesterday said libraries provide knowledge to the citizens as well as ideas and services which help communities to address their challenges.

The minister, represented by the National Librarian Malam Habib Jato made the remarks during the annual general meeting and conference of Nigerian Library Association in Abuja. He said libraries were relevant in the provision of information service for socio-economic, political and cultural development of a nation. He said libraries were component of development.
