Kwara factional PDP appeal to Sheriff to cooperate with Makarfi
The factional chairman of the PDP in Kwara State, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, has urged Senator Ali Modu Sheriff to join hands with the Ahmed Makarfi-led caretaker committee to move the party forward.
He said that cooperation of Sheriff, who has refused to relinquish his claim to the chairmanship of the PDP, with Makarfi’s committee now became necessary since the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has recognised Makarfi as the authentic national leader of the party.
In an interview in Ilorin, yesterday, Fagbemi said that the state chapter of the PDP would actively participate in the August 17 national convention of the party in Port Harcourt, adding that the list of convention delegates was forwarded to the PDP national secretariat in Abuja.
